2022 Denver Anglin is off to a strong start this Spring on the travel-ball scene playing for powerhouse club New York Renaissance.

“The AAU season has gone well so far. Our team is really good, the teams we’ve been able to beat showed the country what we’re really about and I’m excited about what we can do this Summer.”

The 6’2 guard is a potent-perimeter shotmaker with NBA range that consistently connects on jumpers with his pull-up game and as a more traditional floor-spacer, while having great intangibles off the court.

“I’m a knockdown shooter, if you leave me open it’s going in. I score from all 3 levels, a great playmaker that brings a lot of intensity to the game on both ends of the court. I’m a great leader on and off the court as well.”

Denver has no shortage of options on the recruiting trail. Ole Miss, Columbia, Brown, Stanford, SMU, George Washington, Bryant, Georgetown, Siena, NJIT, St. Peter’s New Mexico, TCU and Seton Hall have all extended offers.

The breakout spring has the standout junior hearing from several other heavy-hitters as well. Notre Dame, Miami, Providence, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, NC State and Creighton are all showing interest.

Anglin has no leaders at this point, but is eyeing a few visits when the dead period ends in June.

“I want to get out to Stanford in early June and I’m in the process of setting up a visit with Georgetown.”

Denver is tentatively planning to make a decision during the late Summer/early Fall months, with academics and school environment being two of the bigger factors.

“First and foremost is culture at the school. The educational component is huge. My family and I are big on academics and setting goals after basketball. The basketball fit is third, we’re more concerned with the culture and academics.”

For now, Anglin is working to become more proficient as an on-ball shot creator that gets into the paint with dribble penetration.

“I’m always working to improve everything since nothing is perfect. But I’ve been focusing on getting my handle tighter and finding my spots in the paint with my floater and midrange game.”

We’re extremely high on Denver as one of the premier shotmakers in America that can score from multiple spots on the court in ballscreen action, in isolation or off screens/movement. The combination of on-court ability, academic resume and character will have Anglin at the top of the board for several high-majors in the coming months.
